We stopped and we stared, patiently waited,
Holding our breath as the earth slowly faded.

With intervention came a price,

She used to live in paradise,
Dine with kings and queens,
And when she lifted her hand the masses would raise,
but in the end:

Everything's a phase, coming to an end.

And as time came to pass we accepted our fate,
